Tulum After Parties: What They're Really Like
The connection not everybody has

When the festival shuts down, the night doesn't always end. In the middle of the season, private after parties pop up all over the area, and that's usually where the stories you tell afterward come from.
We don't throw them
And we'll say it straight: these are somebody else's events. What we have is what you build after a lot of seasons coming back to the same scene: we know the people who put them together. Sometimes that's enough to get in, and sometimes it isn't.
That's why they're so hard to get into
These aren't ticketed events. They're not advertised, there's no box office, and there's no public list to sign up for. Getting in comes down to knowing someone on the inside, and that's exactly what you can't pull off by showing up cold.
What we won't promise you
That there's an after every night. It changes with the season and with the group. If anyone guarantees you one every night, they're selling you something they don't control.
Here's what it looks like when it does happen:
Frequently asked questions
Is the after party included in the MATIE package?
No. Your package includes lodging, transportation to the parties, staff, and insurance. The after is separate, and it depends on whether one comes together and whether there's access that night.
How do I find out if there is one that night?
Through the staff traveling with you. If something comes together and there's a way in, that's where you'll hear about it. It's not something anyone knows weeks in advance.
What if none happen the whole season?
That can happen, and that's exactly why we don't sell it as part of the trip. The parties you pick when you build your trip are confirmed, with transportation handled. The after is the thing that might land on top.
